StoopPet is made by Reff LLC. This policy explains what we collect when you use the StoopPet app, this website and the online services the app connects to.
What stays on your Mac
StoopPet reads the position and size of your Dock so the shelf can sit on top of it. That information, and everything you place on the shelf, stays on your Mac.
Usage statistics
About once a day the app sends an anonymous heartbeat: a random install identifier, the app version, the macOS version, the Mac model, and whether the app was used that day. It contains no name, email address or content, and is not linked to your account. You can turn it off in the app's settings.
What we collect when you use online features
- Account details. Your email address and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the identifier that provider gives us.
- Content you send. Photos you upload to generate a pet, and the images and animations generated from them.
- Purchases and credits. A record of what you bought and how credits were used. Card details go to our payment partner; we never see or store your full card number.
- Technical data. IP address, app version, macOS version, and logs of requests and errors, used to run the service, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- Messages. Anything you send when you contact us.
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
How we use it
To provide the features you ask for, keep your account and credits accurate, process payments, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to you, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos to train AI models.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run StoopPet, and only what each needs: hosting and database providers, sign-in providers, the AI model providers that process a photo to produce a generation, our payment partner, and our email provider. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect people's safety and rights.
Where it is processed
Our services run in the United States. If you use StoopPet from another country, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account is open. Uploaded photos and generations are kept so you can use them, until you delete them or your account. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Logs are kept for a limited period.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and the content in it. Write to privacy@stooppet.com from the email address on your account. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.
Children
StoopPet's online features are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email.
